As
a pineapple farmer in the 1960s, Geoff Scurr never imagined his family’s
business would one day be the largest supplier of pineapples in Australia.
His sons Gavin & Stephen have now taken over responsibility of the
business, leading it to the forefront of a rapidly changing fresh produce
industry.
From the grower to
the supermarket shelf, the Piñata team makes certain your fruit
is closely monitored every step of the way to ensure a positive eating
experience is achieved time after time.
We strive for the
highest standard of excellence in growing practices, post harvest handling
and marketing, always searching for new and improved ways of doing business.
Ultimately, this is reflected in the produce we present to the consumer.
Let’s take a
look at the special Piñata qualities that makes our fruit outstanding.

Honey
Gold Mango – simply a heavenly summer fruit that is the
golden gift from the gods!
Piñata
Marketing Australia has successfully cultivated the Honey Gold Mango
– a mango born out of pure chance, discovered on a Rockhampton
mango orchard eight years ago.
In 1995, an
uncontrolled cross occurred between a Kensington Pride seed parent
and an unknown pollen parent, creating a superior hybrid mango.
This unique
hybrid mango variety is having a dramatic effect on the mango industry
in Australia and overseas. Piñata makes this variety available
to you from mid November to March. |
