We're expecting a bumper Honey Gold mango season. The season always begins at Katherine, followed by Mataranka, both in the Northern Territory.
Top End harvesting is conducted at night to keep the fruit fresh and cool – and it's kinder to pickers. Far North Queensland growing regions begin picking around late December. If favourable conditions continue, harvesting at Wamuran starts in early to mid-February and continues for several weeks.
As the season progresses, picking begins in southern and western growing regions until all fruit is picked by the end of March.
It's an exciting time of the year. Keep updated with our latest news on Facebook.
